Welcome Spring.

I don’t know about you, but I wait all winter for this moment.

The first warm breeze that doesn’t bite your face. The days getting just a little longer. The sunshine pouring through the windows again. The flowers popping up like little reminders that life always finds a way to bloom again.

Spring has always been my favorite season.

I love the colors, the fresh air, the feeling that the world is waking up after a long nap. The trees start budding, the grass turns that bright green again, and suddenly everything feels lighter. Like the heaviness of winter slowly lifts off your shoulders.

Now don’t get me wrong… I could definitely live without the pollen. My sinuses and I would gladly vote that part out of the season.

But even with the yellow dust covering everything, spring still feels like a fresh start. A reset button. A reminder that no matter how long a season of life feels, it eventually changes.

And with that fresh start comes the perfect excuse to step outside and live a little.

Here are 10 simple things you can do outside this spring to soak it all in.

1. Take a Walk Without a Destination

Not every walk needs to be about steps or exercise.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is just wander. Listen to the birds. Feel the sun on your face. Notice the flowers blooming along the sidewalk.

Let your mind breathe a little.

2. Start a Small Garden

You don’t need a huge yard or fancy tools.

Plant a few flowers in pots. Grow some herbs in the window. Even something small can bring a lot of joy when you watch it grow.

There’s something powerful about caring for something and seeing it bloom.

3. Have a Picnic

Grab a blanket, pack some simple snacks, and sit outside.

It doesn’t have to be fancy. Sometimes a sandwich and a patch of sunshine are all you need to feel like life slowed down for a minute.

4. Go on a Family Adventure

Take the kids to a park. Go exploring on a trail. Visit somewhere new in your town.

Spring is a great reminder that memories don’t have to be expensive — they just have to be intentional.

5. Read a Book Outside

Instead of reading on the couch, take your book outside.

The fresh air, the quiet, and the sunshine somehow make the story feel even better.

6. Watch a Sunrise or Sunset

Spring skies are something special.

Set your alarm a little earlier or stay outside a little later. Watching the sky change colors reminds you how beautiful the simple things really are.

7. Move Your Body

Go for a jog. Ride a bike. Kick a ball around with the kids.

After months of being cooped up during winter, your body and your mind will thank you for the movement.

8. Take Photos of the Little Things

Spring is full of tiny beautiful moments.

A flower blooming. A butterfly passing by. The sunlight hitting the trees just right.

Sometimes the little things are the ones worth remembering most.

9. Sit in Silence for a Few Minutes

We live in a world that is constantly loud.

Take a few minutes outside with no phone, no music, no distractions. Just breathe and be present.

Peace is often found in the quiet.

10. Let Yourself Feel Hope Again

Spring is proof that hard seasons don’t last forever.

The trees that looked dead all winter come back to life. The flowers return. The sun stays longer.

It’s nature’s way of reminding us that new beginnings are always possible.

As the months ahead unfold, I hope you give yourself permission to step outside more — not just physically, but mentally too.

Let the sunshine touch your face.

Let the fresh air clear your thoughts.

Let the blooming flowers remind you that growth often comes after the hardest seasons.

And if winter was heavy for you this year, that’s okay.

Spring is here now.

A new chapter.

A fresh breath.

Another chance to grow.

So step outside.

Take it in.

And remember that brighter days aren’t just around you…

They’re ahead of you too. 🌸☀️
