Gratitude This Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a time to pause, take a deep breath, and really reflect on the blessings in our lives. It’s not about perfection, the biggest turkey, or even my favorite holiday (that’s still Christmas, hands down). It’s about gratitude — appreciating the people who make our lives brighter, the challenges that make us stronger, and the small moments that remind us we are truly alive. For me, Thanksgiving is a reminder to slow down, be present, and recognize the love, growth, and joy that surrounds me, even in the middle of chaos.
This year, my heart is especially full. I am so thankful for my husband, Cody. He works tirelessly for our family every single day, showing up in ways big and small. Whether it’s handling life’s chaos, supporting the boys, or making me laugh when I feel like crying, Cody gives more than I could ever ask for. He’s patient, dependable, and endlessly generous with his time, love, and energy. His dedication inspires me to be a better person every day, and I am so grateful to walk through life with him by my side. Cody, you are my partner, my confidant, and my anchor — and I don’t say it enough, but I appreciate you more than words can capture.
I am thankful for my two boys, Cody and Alex. These two little humans are my heart walking outside my body. They bring joy, laughter, and a sense of wonder into every day, and they constantly remind me what truly matters in life. Their curiosity, humor, and love fill our home with light, and they push me to grow, to be patient, and to savor every messy, beautiful moment of motherhood. Without them, I honestly don’t know where I’d be, or if I’d even be here. They give me purpose, hope, and endless inspiration, and for that, I am eternally grateful. Cody and Alex, you are my greatest blessings, my joy, and the reason I keep striving to be my best self every day.
I am thankful for my 105-pound weight loss. That number represents so much more than a change in appearance; it’s the symbol of perseverance, dedication, and learning to love and care for myself. Every pound lost is a reminder that I am capable of achieving what I set my mind to, even when it feels impossible. It’s proof that hard work, consistency, and self-love matter, and it’s something I will carry with me always.
And above all, I am thankful for God — for guidance, grace, and the countless blessings I see every day. For strength when life feels heavy, hope when it feels fleeting, and love that surrounds me even in the chaos. My faith is the anchor that keeps me grounded, reminds me of what is truly important, and gives me perspective when the world feels overwhelming.
We live in a cruel, chaotic world, full of noise, challenges, and moments that try to break us down. That’s why it’s so important to pause and reflect on what truly makes us happy — our people, our passions, and the small victories that remind us life is worth it. It’s these moments, big and small, that carry us through.
And this Thanksgiving, I am also thankful for you — my readers. Thank you for showing up, for reading my stories, for laughing with me, and for being part of this little corner of the internet. Your support and encouragement mean more than you know, and I am so grateful to share my life, my chaos, and my joys with you.
Thanksgiving is a chance to slow down, breathe, and reflect on the blessings in our lives. From family, faith, and health to growth, joy, and all the little things that make our hearts full — there’s always something to be thankful for. So today, I encourage you to pause, take a deep breath, and think about what fills your soul. Hug your people a little tighter, smile a little more, and maybe eat that extra slice of pie without guilt.
From my family to yours: Happy Thanksgiving. 🧡
